Julian Nariño, July 13. Today I have the unique pleasure to present you one of my all-time favorite comic artists, Julian Nariño, who, I believe, lives and works somewhere on the West Coast.
Julian is known for an online comic strip called Herr Metzger, a romantic, but lonely, occasionally depressed, poor little pig from Germany that tries to pick up some English on the way, while also desperately trying to pick up the ladies.
Unfortunately, Julian has had trouble with his webcomic, his server crashed, and his website hasn’t worked properly ever since. Currently he is preparing Metzger Books for the San Diego comicon, so it will take a little while until herrmetzger.com will be completely back online. But it will be worth the wait, I promise you.
In the meantime, you can enjoy a bird’s eye view of his philosophy of life in these beautiful four panels. Oh my god, what the bird says is so much on my wave length… Julian must be a wise man.
