Bex, June 16th. Susan Veverka a.k.a. Bex, creator of Grand Blue Door, has been here before. But this time, she chose a different approach, alluding to what I had done to my hair (or as it will forever be known from now on, Operation Cueball) and what had happened to me in Berlin. While you’re at it, please not the cute t-shirt the girl has on. :-)
Bex did this cartoon in the style of Czech fin-de-siècle artist Alphonse Mucha, turning this comic into mucha blue for a day. Bex tells me that she also has Czech ancestors, her own last name being the Czech word for “squirrel”.
